We are a committee of parents of children at the group who manage Highnam Under Five's playgroup. We opened in the 1970s and we operate from a classroom in Highnam CofE Primary School, which is situated in the residential area of Highnam in Gloucestershire. The children have their own enclosed outside area and have the use of the school hall and grounds.

Highnam Under Five's playgroup is on the Early Years Register with a maximum of 21 children whom may attend the setting at any one time. The group is open on weekdays during term times from 09.00am to 12.00pm and from 12.30pm to 15.30pm. Extra hours are available from 08.00am to 09.00am for breakfast, 12.00pm to 12.25pm for lunch and 15.30pm to 16.00pm after school. We currently have 32 children aged from two years six months to under eight years on the roll.

We employ five members of staff, all of which hold early years qualifications and one is working towards a further qualification. The staff are supported by parents on a rota duty and we have extremely close links with the school and the local church - Holy Innocents.
